Joking Apart

by Alan Ayckbourn

directed by Mark Scanlon

September 7th - 11th

Effortlessly successful and charming couple Anthea and Richard are generous to their friends both old and new.

Over a period of 12 years, we see just how generous they are in a series of social gatherings in their back garden.

As the years roll by a combination of jealousy, envy, inadequacy and unrequited love all afflict their assembled friends whilst Anthea and Richard proceed serenely on, seemingly oblivious to the angst they are inadvertently causing.

Is it a case of being kind to be cruel?
