It’s a big help to a production to have a dedicated prompt during the later stages of rehearsals when the actors are ‘books down’. 

Prompting is a great way to get involved and quickly meet people.

You won’t be required to prompt during actual performances as we don’t have one during the production run - only in rehearsal.

You’d probably be involved from about half way through rehearsals to just before the final run through on stage, so a period of about four weeks with three rehearsals per week.
