Whether you’re familiar with the technical side of theatre or not, there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved running the lighting and sound for our productions. We've recently invested in our own sound and lighting equipment for use when taking productions to other venues. Full training in the use of our modern lighting and sound equipment is available.

If you fancy designing the lighting or creating the sound plot for a production there are ample opportunities to flex your creative muscles!

The latest technical equipment

Being based in a well equipped theatre we’re fortunate to have access to modern, easy to use and versatile technical equipment for our productions. 

The theatre benefits from the latest in computerised lighting board tech and multi channel sound desk facilities along with versatile lighting stock utilising the latest technology.

It makes creating a lighting/sound plan and operating both during performances extremely efficient and gives our productions a highly polished and professional look.

It’s a very interesting part of theatre and you’re welcome to ‘shadow’ our existing tech people to get a feel for how we do things before taking the helm in the lighting box whenever you feel ready to do so.
