Say Something Happened - eager but green June is despatched by the Council to register elderly people in the area. Mam and Dad are elderly so must be in need of registering - but the able-bodied, street-wise couple have no intention of being registered. Far from organising them, June finds herself being sorted out by Mam and Dad! Typical wry humour from the master  of one act drama. 

Cocktail Sticks - an autobiographical piece in which Bennett regrets the mundanity and ordinariness of his childhood only to realise that the apparently mundane contains its own mystery in what one enthusiastic critic described as a "remorseless excavation of his past". The focus here is mainly on Bennett's mum and her social aspirations including a love of cocktail parties and her ongoing depression.
